The Difference Between Complex And Simple Partial Seizures

Simple Partial Seizures
A seizure is never an easy thing to experience—in fact it can sometimes even be more terrifying to be the witness to a seizure. This is because a seizure can make the body do all sorts of things that would look incredibly alarming, but in actuality is something relatively minor. However, while it is minor it is still a big clue that there is something else going on—something that will likely turn into a big healthy scare if it is not dealt with quickly. A minor group of seizures that certain people suffer are known as simple partial seizures. These seizures are definitely the strangest of the group because of what the person feels during a seizure such as this. But those who are aware of this type of seizure must also understand that there are differences between simple and complex partial seizures.
One of the biggest differences between complex and simple partial seizures is also what sets it apart visibly. For example, a person who is suffering from a complex partial seizure is more than likely to not even understand what is happening. They lack the general awareness and are not even there mentally when it happens. They just end up wondering what exactly happened after the complex partial seizure takes place. When simple partial seizures occur on the other hand, the sufferer is very aware of what is happening, and what they are feeling can actually differ greatly. For example, one sufferer might be feeling anxious and terrified while it is happening—another sufferer might actually be feeling the complete opposite. There are actually some who claim to be happier while they suffer from a simple partial seizure.
Either way, the differences are definitely between complex and simple partial seizures are very obvious. But this does not change the fact that either condition can prove to be dangerous.
